Ecotone Services, Inc. (Ecotone) was incorporated in 2002 as a Kentucky corporation. Ecotone was formed as a partnership between Kevin DeMumbree, Jeff Fletcher and Dan Watson, who recognized an opportunity to unite their talent, technical expertise and industry connections to provide superior facilities operations and maintenance to US governmental agencies. They also shared a vision of creating a company that would not only serve its customers well but also its employees and their communities.

Ecotone relocated its principal office from Kentucky to Dover, Tennessee in June 2003. The new location afforded an opportunity to apply for and receive the status of HUBZone (Historically Underutilized Business Zone) certified government contractor from the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA). This status provides certain advantages in government contracting and provides the HUBZone area with increased economic growth from the company's presence.

Ecotone currently holds five prime contracts with the Forest Service for the operation and management of Land Between the Lakes. These contracts include ground maintenance and facility cleaning, roads and trails maintenance, facility maintenance, environmental services and chemical pumping. Ecotone began operations under the contracts on February 1, 2004 and expects to operate these contracts until September 30, 2013.

The company intends to maintain its presence in the government sector and expand its base of services. Exceptional people, controlled expansion and a commitment to quality have allowed Ecotone to steadily grow in both corporate size and reputation.
